100 Would You Rather Questions for Fun Conversations

Would you rather questions are two-sided prompts you can read aloud, answer, and pass along. They are not scores. They are not a ranking of who is more interesting. They are a way to put two pictures on the table and let people pick one.

The one hundred questions on this page are taken from Either Way Studio’s original set of 240. Each line matches the live dataset, including both options. You can read them from the list, copy a line into a chat, or use the interactive question table to tap Option A or Option B.

How to use the questions

Read the whole sentence, then both options. Pause. Each person names A or B. If the group wants talk, ask why, or use the follow-up that lives with that question in the dataset. Then go to the next prompt. Anyone may skip. Skipping is not a loss.

Keep the room specific. “Which would you cook first?” is a better nudge than “What does this say about you?” The second question pretends the game is a test. It is not.

If you are playing on a screen, Next Question loads another prompt from the active category. Skip moves forward without storing a choice. Save stores the question ID on this device. Copy places the full text on the clipboard. Those four controls are enough for a living room.

If you are playing on paper, print a set from the printable cards tool. Cut along the dashed lines. Draw one card at a time. Put an unwelcome card at the bottom of the stack.

Adapting a round for different group sizes

Two people can linger. Use five to ten questions and the follow-ups. A pair can also keep a saved list of prompts that worked last time.

Four to six people should share the same question. Ten questions is a full round; six is enough if dinner is getting cold. Either Way Studio’s ten-question tool on the play page picks ten distinct prompts, shows 1/10 through 10/10, and lets you go backward without erasing earlier answers.

Eight or more people need a louder format. Read once, show of hands, one volunteer sentence, next question. Do not go around the entire circle on every card. That turns a ten-minute icebreaker into an endurance event.

A classroom should use one to three questions, preferably from School or Family. Project the text or write A and B on the board. Do not collect names with answers.

A mixed-age family should lock the category before you start. Family, Food, Everyday, and School are the safest four. Funny and Imagination are fine after you have previewed the list. Friends questions assume people choose each other’s company.

Playing from the generator

If you do not want to read a list, use the homepage table, the random question station, or today’s prompt on the daily question page. Daily selection uses the UTC date, so everyone with this dataset sees the same card on the same calendar day. It is not personalized.

Rules for groups, printable decks, and what to do when people disagree are in How to Play Would You Rather in a Group.
